Credit Card Processing Interchange Rate Comparisons
Just last week, I was contacted by a distributor who has received notification of a substantial increase in their rates. processor claims it was because “the exchange rate adjustments by Visa and MasterCard.” It will be an increase of 0.30% + 0.10 USD in transactions of non-qualified, but none of that is reflected in the rate of new exchange.
I thought I could make an interesting topic to look back on interchange fees for credit card processing. Since we only have to adjust its fees in April, I decided to go back to April 2006 for some comparisons. As you might imagine, there are hundreds of different tribes or types of transactions based on the card.
